In fact, while listening to this ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrrky5… ) while finishing with my last digital-only panel sketch, I  had to retreat back to my sketchbook. This image and the next were the result.

With due respect to the concepts and ideas of Demorrtis, I can't help but to see this instance of Gaster - lacking the more studious leanings of his typical incarnations - instead having a mysterious connection to the collective flow of their fates. A single bastion of potential and focus, directing his abilities in other ways... Perhaps even a figure of redemption.
