Description

Thoughts: (By all means, this belongs in the Scrap pile, but according to the books, it will be here regardless of it's quality. :p)

Here is an image of Julian Robotnik shortly after his arrival in the kingdom of Acorn. Situated in one of the private studies of the Palace of Acorn, he is being introduced to the various forms of the Mobian written language, and the history and evolution of the three standard forms of Mobian Common.

In one of Julian's hands is a removable section of the surface of the globe behind him, and in the other rests a diminutive book chronicling one of the early advocates of the standardized Common forms. The globe itself is made of wood and is a common learning tool for Mobians of all species, featuring a low-relief set of sculpted tiles backed by magnetic sections. The scrolls indicated by the Archivist are also not old artifacts, but are standard learning materials, one featuring a duplicated set of prose and poetry from earlier centuries of East Coast scholars, and the other bearing a standard layout of resulting Trade Common and it's necessary similarities in capturing the rich details of that area and those cumulative effects on the Avian Common Form.

The background, though hasty, features one bookshelf among many, and the entry to the chamber is watched by Julian's personal guard, the two canine Mobians.

Some may question how the Archivist manages to stand and reach over that desk, even though Julian is seated. The answer is that the Archivist is standing on a low, stable stool. Although somewhat amusing, such tools are entirely common and acceptable, as many species of Mobian must take one another into account in communcal activities (such as teaching, in this instance), and accommodating one another can be a highly formal or informal process. Julian is remains somewhat difficult to cope with as his size, both in volume and height, ranges into the upper scales, even among the largest of Mobians. Only rhinoceroses, some species of bear, and some species of great cats equal him, while elephants outsize him - giraffes may best him in height, but they are thin, gracile, and rather frail creatures.

A few notes on Julian: Foremost, many would question his human-appearing eyes. In this concept, his eyes are capable of five different forms of surface-reception/appearence, but only one is typically seen, that of his replicated human eyes - his classical red-on-black, demonic appearence was something he had always avoided, as it would prove deeply unsettling to virtually any Mobian; although, among later familiar Mobians, he is known to use that form of vision when he requires knowledge of subtle visual details. Julian is also pictured wearing what appears to be a cloak over his shoulders - that and his manacles are both signs of his only closest, correct personal standing under the current Acorn laws, that of a participatory/unfounded prisoner: one whom has skills of potential value to his captors, and one who has no known affiliations or history.

Details: A basic interior sketch and concept, corresponding to the book Being and Nothingness
.
Materials: mechanical pencil, 6B graphite stick, .1 ink pen, a touch of col-erase, and Canson sketchpad paper.

Cynicide: (This belongs in the Scrap pile...) Due to being a simplistic exercise, I haven't much to say to the composition itself. Completed late at night and with plenty of flaws, I have no time or desire to correct it.

Soooooo, based on the last sentence, the mobians are still treating him as a prisoner, just very nicely? "Unfounded" prisoner? I don't know what that means.
